A staple in the libraries of astrologers and the astrologically curious, The Only Astrology Book You'll Ever Need has recently been updated and republished in order to be more applicable to today's reader. The revamped astrological guide contains all of the foundational content of the relational book (Sun signs, Moon signs, the 12 Houses of Astrology etc.), as well as updates (celebrity astrology profiles) and an interactive CD-ROM that allows you to cast your chart in minutes, just by entering the date, time and place of your birth.
While the formatting and mode of information transfer have been updated, The Only Astrology Book You'll Ever Need is still the benchmark for astrological literature. It is so detailed and so specific that the reader will feel like it was written specifically for him or her.
Marija Sanderling of Nesmith Library, Windham, NH has said, "Thoroughly covered here are sun signs, moon signs, planets, and the significance of the 12 zodiacal houses, as well as the most recent discoveries in astronomy and 21st-century projections. The author gives an easy, logical way to integrate the interpretations of the sun signs, moon signs, planets, and houses in any given chart, something not easily done or often seen in general astrology books.. Astronomical tables are included to help cast the simplified chart. A great bargain for the price, this is highly recommended for all astrology collections."
After reading a few sections about my personal Sun sign, Ascending sign etc. I was shocked to see how accurate the book was in describing my personality, my character, my interests, and even my fears. Something that I found extremely interesting was the Amorous Combinations, which gave a detailed account of the compatibility of each sign to the others. I enjoyed the in-depth analysis of each sign's character quirks, and how they melded (or didn't) with another sign's. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who has the slightest interest in their astrological sign. To be a bit transparent, I was skeptical of the book at first, but after reading about my sun sign, I was surprised at how immediately interested I became in learning more about what the planets and the stars had to say about me and my future.
In addition to Sun signs, The Only Astrology Book You'll Ever Need contains extremely specific analysis of Moon signs. According to Woolfolk, "The position of the Moon in your horoscope is second only in importance to the position of the Sun. In astrology, the Moon stands for emotions, instincts and unconscious." In addition, Woolfolk also claims that the difference between the Sun and the Moon in astrology was a forerunner of Sigmund Freud's theory of the ego and the id.
