Throughout history, painters have depicted special people with auras; i.e., glowing lights. Think of the halo nearly always shown around the head of Jesus or around the heads of Mary, his mother, or of saints. In art, an aura around someone’s head or body signifies that (s)he is a powerful spiritual person, to the extent that other human beings could see his or her aura.
But many people believe that every one of us emits our own personal aura, although not everyone else can see it. Nevertheless, for those who believe in auras and claim to see them, your aura represents the energy that surrounds you, and the colors your aura contains tell a lot about you and your personality.
Bands of Colors
Your aura is composed of several bands of colors. The bands furthest away from you sometimes change depending on your current mood, health, stress level and what you’re experiencing at a particular moment. The bands closest to you, however, seldom change color because they represent your “life colors,” the ones that reveal such things about you as the following:
- Your personality
- Your life’s theme
- Your purpose in life
- The potential partner with whom you will be the most happy
- The job(s) or career you will find the most satisfying
- How you tend to handle family, money, health, etc.
Aura colors run the gamut of the color wheel, with a few additional colors thrown in as well. To aura believers, each color represents a different set of personal attributes.
Reds
If you emit any of the various shades of red in your aura, this means you are highly expressive, both emotionally and physically. You like to focus on the physical aspects of your world and live in the present. You also generally exhibit courage, strength, self-confidence and a zest for life.
Oranges
Emitting any of the various orange shades in your aura means that you tend to be an adrenaline junky, living for the thrills of physical dangers. You also tend to push your physical limits in your need to show your daredevil penchant.
Yellows
A yellow shade to your aura indicates that you’re energetic, free-spirited, fun-loving and nearly childlike in your joy of life. On the other hand, yellow can indicate that you’re basically shy. Either way, you get satisfaction out of bringing joy to others.
Greens
Greens are some of the most seen colors in the world. But a green shade in your aura doesn’t mean you’re commonplace. Rather, it marks you as someone who is highly intelligent. You tend to quickly process ideas and information. You also tend to strike others as a powerful person.
Blues
Blues have always been seen as soothing colors, and a blue aura indicates that you are supportive, nurturing and loving. You love to give, to teach and to invest in spirituality, relationships, and above all, love. You would make a great nurse, counselor, teacher or someone in another of the helping professions.
Purples
As in nature, purple auras go from the palest of lavenders to the deepest of true purples. If your aura glows lavender, this marks you as a sensitive person, deeply into fantasy, myths, dreams, spirituality and other-worldly creatures such as fairies and angels. You often have a difficult time dealing with the harshness of the real world. A deep indigo purple means you’re one who is attempting to usher a new energy, consciousness, peace and harmony into the world.
Whether or not you believe that people actually do emit auras, this is one more realm of spirituality that’s fun to explore and understand. As with delving into astrology, delving into auras can’t hurt you as long as you retain your reasonable skepticism instead of becoming a true believer for whom auras represent the end-all and be-all.
